Capital Bites: Le Bec in Le Beijing

Blu Lobster, previously home to ROOMbeijing’s Brian McKenna, will be relaunched at the end of September as Bouchon Le Bec, and will serve contemporary French cuisine with a Beijing twist. This new venue is associated with Nicolas Le Bec, who at 37 is youthful to be owner of a two-star Michelin restaurant (Nicolas Le Bec in Lyon, France) as well as two other ventures in Lyon, including a much-hyped market street food concept restaurant.


Le Bec has cooked for our fair city before. In November 2009, he did a guest chef promotion at Blu Lobster in the Shangri-La, and will be in Shanghai Expo at the French Pavilion this summer. Nicolas, welcome back to China.
