Cheers Opens New Flagship Store at Indigo, Plus New Terrace at Chaoyang Park
Cheers is one step closer to their stated goal of having 888 stores in China with the opening of their new flagship store in Indigo Mall. At 93 square meters, the store is their largest in China and boasts a host of new features.
First up is an upgraded tasting experience thanks to a new Enomatic machine that can keep up to eight different bottles fresh and available for tasting. The new store also has a fresh new look, courtesy of Beijing-based design agency, DeFacto, including more seating and a bar area where you can mix your own cocktails.
Speaking of cocktails, for this flagship store, Cheers has teamed up with distributor Diageo for the first time. This means that they are now able to offer a selection of different whiskeys, including Johnnie Walker, The Singleton, Talisker, and Haig Club. Taste the whiskeys in-store, ask their mixology to whip you up a classic whiskey cocktail or grab a bottle to take home.
Cheers has always had an impressive ability to offer something for everyone at both ends of the wine spectrum. Want to drop less than RMB 40 on a bottle of wine? They've got you covered. Prefer something a little classier (but not so classy you'll be annoyed when someone else drinks the last glass at a party)? They've got your back, too. Among the recent additions to their selection of more than 150 different wines from around the world, we're loving the San Telmo Sauvignon Blanc from Argentina, which is light and fruity without the overwhelming fruitiness that can plague some cheap Sauvignon Blanc, and the Jail Break Shiraz from South Africa.
For those who prefer to sip al fresco, the Cheers store at Central Park Plaza (the collection of slick black buildings near Chaoyang Park South Gate) has just added a sizeable terrace out front, the perfect place to enjoy a chilled bottle of that aforementioned Sauvignon Blanc. For non-wine drinkers, they offer a selection of bottled beers, as well as cider from local brand Ping Dynasty.
