New burger and cocktail spot Loma opens up, Turkish Feast's Wangfujing branch is in soft opening, Circle Urban revamps their menu and more on our To Try List this week.
Burger and Cocktail Spot Loma Opens on Hongxing Hutong
Hongxing Hutong aka Red Star Hutong has a new resident in the form of Loma. A joint venture from Long Fong (the "lo") and Mao Mao Chong (the "ma"), it's a cozy little space that's appropriately decked out with red decor. They've got a simple menu of burgers, sandwiches and snacks with a side of carefully crafted cocktails. The cocktail menu is comprised of six signature cocktails (all RMB 80) and for each one you can choose whether you want the Long Fong version or the Mao Mao Chong version.
On the food front, they've got six burgers to choose from with a few classic options as well as more unusual offerings like the Ox Tongue Burger (RMB 78) which has a Mongolian chive and Sichuan pepper sauce, broad bean sauce, mixed mushrooms and caramelized onions. They've also got some pretty interesting sandwiches like the Elvis Sandwich (RMB 48) which combines Shandong pork crackling, peanut butter, banana, bacon and honey or the Old Beijing Braised Lamb (RMB 58) which features lamb belly with Sichuan pepper salt, sesame mayo, tiger skin peppers and garlic eggplant sauce.

Turkish Feast's New Wangfujing Branch Now in Soft Opening
Turkish Feast has officially opened its Wangfujing branch, having their grand opening party last Saturday (Nov 17). Located inside the WF Central shopping mall, just along from the Cheesecake Factory, the new space has a terrace area out front, a large shared dining area featuring a stunning bar as well as a few private rooms for more intimate gatherings. Like their other locations, it's beautifully decorated with tiled floors, Turkish lamps and stained glass.
Coinciding with the new restaurant opening, they've also launched a new menu across all branches. Some fresh additions that caught our eye are the Slow Cooked Lamb Chops with Dry Fruits (RMB 188), Mushroom Pide (RMB 78) and Lamb Alinazik (RMB 98, pictured below), you can read more details about it here. Lastly, as a special promotion for their soft opening you can currently get 20 percent off at their Wangfujing store from now until Nov 30.

Circle Urban Launches New Menu
Chef Michael, who formerly worked at the now closed Four Corners has taken over the kitchen at Circle Urban and they've now got a new menu. They've added a few new burgers to the menu such as the Fusion Buffalo Burger (RMB 68, pictured above), an American Vietnamese style chicken burger, it's loaded with homemade buffalo sauce and sweet and sour daikon; and the Mexican Burger (RMB 78) featuring grilled double beef patties, grilled poblano peppers, mixed avocado and fresh salsa salad.
Other new dishes include some Southeast Asian classics like Vietnamese Pho (RMB 78, pictured above) and Laksa (RMB 80), plus they've now got Roman style pizza (RMB 30-38, pictured below) on the menu and a few pasta dishes, with the Japanese Carbonara (RMB 68) and Coconut Lemongrass Spaghetti (RMB 70) sounding particularly intriguing.

Georgia's Feast Revamps Their Menu
It isn't only Turkish Feast that has launched a new menu, sister restaurant Georgia's Feast has also revamped theirs. One dish we're particularly excited about is the Georgian Baked Eggs (RMB 68, pictured above), their take on shakshuka but with special Georgian seasoning. Other new dishes include the decadent Georgian Smoked Chicken as well as some new variations of their classic dishes such as a Spinach and Cheese Khachapuri (RMB 88) and Venison Khinkali (RMB 68) which are a striking purple color. New Soups and Sandwich Deals at Side Street
With the chilly weather firmly here to stay, it's officially soup season! Embracing the season, Side Street has added two new soups to their menu: Creamy Mushroom Soup and Spiced Pumpkin Soup. They've also got a new Ham and Cheese Sandwich at their Jianguomen branch, plus a new weekly lunch combo at both locations where you can get soup and a sandwich for RMB 88 every Thursday from 11am until 3pm.
