Basil Opens Up Physical Store in Shangdu SOHO
If you're a fan of Basil's super healthy meals or have always wanted to try them, then we have some great news for you! They've just opened up a physical store in Shangdu SOHO, so now you can enjoy their delicious meals in store. A cozy space with a couple of tables and some countertop seating, on the menu they've got favorites like Thai Basil Chicken (RMB 58), Italian Beef Balls (RMB 63) and Roasted Tempeh Bowl (RMB 58). They've also got a range of snacks like the super moreish Cheese Chips & Guac (RMB 38), Chickpea Protein Bars (RMB 24) and Energy Balls (RMB 24) as well as a fridge stocked with overnight oats, juices, other soft drinks and a few alcoholic drinks as well.

Pita Pita Opens in 751•798 Train Street
The 751•798 Train Street has a new resident in the form of Pita Pita. Located in the train car right next to brewpub NBeer, they've got a simple menu consisting of Stuffed Pita Bread (Chicken/RMB 28; Beef/RMB 32) and Mixed Rice Bowls (Chicken/36 RMB; Beef/43 RMB; Tofu/RMB 34) and both come with your choice of sauce, including the classic Tzatziki. For the rice bowls you can choose between Turmeric Rice, Mixed Germ Rice or forego the rice altogether and opt for Mixed Salad instead. They also have a range of side dishes available which change daily, plus a few soft drinks.

Jing-A Launches DIY Chuanr Burger
Jing-A has recently added a new burger to their menu, one interesting little number. Called the DIY Burger it features M5 Wagyu beef skewered with bell peppers and mushrooms and served with a burger bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, a fried egg and black pepper mayonnaise. Customers can then assemble the burger themselves, and Jing-A has even released some helpful step by step instructions in this post. You can also order the Beef Skewers as a set of two on their own without the burger add-ons. Both new dishes are available at all Jing-A's branches except their Beixinqiao location.

Slowboat X Derive Brewery Collab Beer Launch and Tap Takeover
Slowboat has partnered up with Derive Brewery, following a recent visit to the Wuhan based brewer. Together they've created a collab beer called the Afternoon Concerto West Coast IPA (RMB 55), a smooth and clean IPA bursting with fruity flavors. This beer along with a Derive Brewery Tap Takeover featuring five of their signature brews will be launched tomorrow (Dec 5) at 6.30pm at Slowboat's Shichahi location. During the event, you can snag the new collab beer for RMB 40 a glass, plus the first ten people to arrive will receive a Derive x Slowboat goodie bag!

Wine Tasting at Zarah with EMW
Next Thursday (Dec 12) Zarah is doing a special wine tasting with their long term suppliers East Meets West Fine Wines (EMW) to help determine which wines they'll feature on their seasonal wine list. Attendees will enjoy a sampling of six different wines, plus canapés, and will be led through the tasting by Tommas from EMW after which you can vote on which wines are your favorites. Early bird reservations for the tasting are RMB 228 until Dec 8 and then RMB 268 after that, you can book via the contact details in the poster above.
