Aikido Shinryukan Beijing invites you to try Aikido, the beautiful Japanese martial art! We will have a free trial class on Nov 3rd (Sunday) where anyone interested is welcome to join!

The class, starting at 9:00 a.m., will include training sessions and a demonstration by the teacher and the dojo members, to present the unique charm of Aikido, as well as to help you get an idea of what Aikido is and how our regular training looks like. Everyone is invited to join the free trial class after the demonstration. Teaching will be conducted in English and Chinese.

What is Aikido?

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba. Often translated as “the way of harmonious spirit”, Aikido is considered to be one of the least aggressive martial arts, whereby practitioners defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury. The art places an emphasis on integrating the mind, body, and spirit.

Aikido movements can be adapted to the different physical abilities of the students: you can execute the techniques faster or slower, with more power or less, depending on your and your partner's skills. This makes Aikido suitable for young and old, men and women.

About our Dojo

Aikido Shinryukan Beijing is affiliated to Aikido Shinryukan New Zealand. Founded in 2002, it is one of the oldest Aikido dojos in China and is recognized by Aikikai, the Aikido headquarter in Tokyo, Japan.
