Gempita Merdeka Indonesian Fair 2024 Comes to the Indonesian Embassy
In celebration of Indonesia's Independence Day, the Indonesian Embassy will be putting on an Indonesian Fair this Saturday (Aug 17). The theme of the festival is "Wonderful Indonesia" and there will be Indonesian food and products to buy as well as Indonesian song and dance performances. Entry to the fair is free but you need to sign up in advance by scanning the QR code in the poster above and can click here to read more about it.

Grassroots Pizza Party Launch at Big Joe’s
Grassroots has joined forces with Big Joe's to create a range of vegan and dairy-free pizzas using Grassroots Mozzarella-Style Shreds. They've got two completely vegan pizzas: the Classic Cheese and Veggie Lovers, plus the Pepperoni, Hawaiian and Meat Lovers can now be made dairy-free. To celebrate the collaboration, they're doing a Pizza Party on Thursday (Aug 14) where slices of pizza will be RMB 5 off and you can get a soda for RMB 8.8 with a free refill, or if you fancy something stronger, three hours of free-flow craft beer for just RMB 80.

Las Musas Reopens With Brand New Look After Renovations
After being closed for a short while to undergo renovations, Las Musas is back with a fresh new look! They've completely redone the front of the restaurant, installing two large windows and folding doors to let in plenty of natural light, updated the bar and dining area plus they've added an intriguing "disco toilet". Las Musas now also connects to Slow Boat next door allowing diners to also enjoy Slow Boat's menu at Las Musas and vice versa.

Free-Flow Champagne at La Copa
This Saturday (Aug 17) La Copa is putting on a special champagne deal where you can get free-flow champagne plus nibbles for two and a half hours for RMB 448. Bollywood Tales Introduces New Weekday Lunch Boxes
If you're looking for a tasty treat to enjoy during your lunch break, then we have some good news for you! Bollywood Tales is now doing Weekday Lunch Boxes for delivery. They've got three options to choose from: Vege Lunch Box (RMB 68), Chicken Lunch Box (RMB 78) and Mutton Lunch Box RMB 88, all of them come with a curry, salad, dal, rice, naan and dessert. Dastaan Resumes Dine-In Service After Renovations
Another spot that has recently undergone renovations is Dastaan and they're now open again for dine-in service. The space has been given a bright new update, adding gorgeous wall art, colorful lattices, booths, new tables and chairs plus a remodeled bar area.

Beersmith Launches New Lunch Menu and Fresh Summer Brews
Last week Beersmith introduced a new lunch menu featuring some brand new dishes like the Ribeye Steak Sandwich (RMB 108), Kimchi Chicken Bowl (RMB 78) and Oklahoma Onion Smash Burger (RMB 88). The menu also includes a number of upgrade offerings such as adding a daily soup or salad for RMB 15; salad, soft drink or coffee for RMB 20; or a glass of craft beer for RMB 30. As well as the new lunch menu they've got three new summer brews up for grabs: Good Little Berries Smoothie Sour, Bigfoot V.S T-Rex and Galaxy Smash.

Home Plate Sanlitun Reopens With New Upgrades
There seem to have been a lot of renovations happening in the capital recently, with Home Plate's Sanlitun branch also undergoing a few updates. They've got a new beer tap system, some new booth seating, new tables and chairs, a new AC system and a brand new custom-built smoker.
