Oysho: Swimsuits and Lingerie from Spain

The Spanish company that brought fast fashion at reasonable prices to Beijing in the form of Zara, Pull and Bear, and Stradivarius has added another offspring to the mix, this time in the form of barely-there bikinis, soft cotton loungewear and lacy lingerie.

The swimsuit options at Oysho offer a more fashionable range than you’ll find at other Western shops in the city. Gals looking to really show some skin or get the tiniest tan lines will opt for the Brazilian bikini bottoms, while a few one-piece items offer slightly more modest cuts. Sold as separates, tops cost RMB 169-229 while bottoms are RMB 139-159. One-piece suits – as well as the latest style, the "trikini" – go for RMB 299-349. In addition to swimsuits, beach-bound shoppers can also find accessories and a limited range of clothing, suitable for tossing over bathing suits or hanging out by the shore.

Oysho’s arrival at Solana also fills a gap for women who have been looking for Western-style underwear. The selection ranges from practical microfiber pieces in nudes and neutrals (bras RMB 149, underwear RMB 69-89) that disappear seamlessly under clothing for everyday wear to a playful palette of sherbet-hued bras in cotton and lace. (While the store stocks sizes from S-L, bras are only offered in B and C cups).

The store also carries clothing with a bit more coverage, including soft cotton robes, pastel loungewear and a few options that can be worn outside the house. Keep an eye out for regular sales (which run concurrently with price cuts at the other company stores), when already-good prices become even better.
