Pachapapi launches weekend brunch
Pachapapi has launched a brand-new weekend brunch featuring delicious Peruvian comfort foods such as pan con lomo (bread filled with lomo saltado, stir-fried beef tenderloin with onions, tomatoes, and Peruvian yellow chili pepper) and pan con tamal de pollo (corn-based dough filled with chicken, onions, raisins, and Peruvian chili that is steamed and wrapped in a banana leaf). Even better, the brunch dishes are 15 percent off until the end of March (so basically, be there this weekend or be square). Add RMB 188 for free-flow wine and simple cocktails or upgrade to the RMB 288 package that includes free-flow Pisco cocktails and Chandon sparkling wine. Brunch is available Sat-Sun 11.30am-2.30pm.
Brazilian chef Morena Leite takes over the Mosto kitchen, Mar 29
On Friday, Mar 29, the Brazilian Embassy, Minsheng Art Museum, and Mosto have teamed up to host Brazilian star chef Morena Leite for one night only, bringing a taste of Brazil’s vibrant culinary style to Beijing. Morena and her team will take over the Mosto kitchen to prepare a five-course menu with wine pairings. The menu includes a trio of amuse bouche, a mouthwatering ceviche served in a coconut, tapioca ravioli with duck and tucupi sauce, and then beef medallion with grilled curd cheese, milk purée, and caramelized onions. Dessert is an indulgent lemongrass lava cake. The dinner is priced at RMB 580 per person including wine pairings (note that the menu cannot be altered to accommodate dietary restrictions).
Mosto's Wine Pop-Up with The Wine Republic is also ongoing until Thursday, Mar 28. Grab great value wines (RMB 170-475) to dine in or drink in with no corkage fee or try red and white wine tasting flights for RMB 120. More info in the event listing here.
Sorì x Aurora dinner party, Mar 28
Clubbing meets Mediterranean flavors this Thursday, Mar 28, as Sanlitun techno purveyors Aurora and Italian restaurant Sorì team up for a buffet of great sounds and food. The menu includes tasty Mediterranean dishes like spicy meatballs with nduja salami, seafood fregola, and homemade focaccia bread. Tickets priced at RMB 298 per person. Special sakura menu at Hagaki
Right now is sakura (cherry blossom) season in Japan and in honor of this most floral times of the year, Hagaki has prepared a selection of dishes infused with the delicate flavors of sakura. Sample dishes such as salt marsh sakura baked snapper, sakura leaf boiled shrimp, and a photogenic sakura clear gel dessert.
