Three Things for the Week Ahead in Beijing (Mar 24-30)

Explore – Beijing Breakfast Stroll with The Hutong, Mar 25

This Tuesday (Mar 25) morning, The Hutong will be putting on one of their famous Beijing Breakfast Strolls through the hutongs. This breakfast tour invites you to explore the rich flavors and cultural heritage of Beijing’s morning cuisine. Led by expert guides, attendees will wander through the capital's charming hutongs, sampling iconic dishes like jianbing and doufunao while uncovering the stories and traditions of local life. With approximately eight delicious stops, this immersive experience promises to delight your taste buds. The tour is RMB 380/non-members and RMB 350/members and takes place from 9am until noon. Listen – Sarah Vaughan Tribute at Blue Note, Mar 27

In honor of the 101st anniversary of Sarah Vaughan's birth (Mar 27, 1924), Blue Note will be putting on a special tribute night to this jazz legend on Thursday (Mar 27).  Featuring Rena on vocals, E.T (Xu Guangjun) on bass, Pierre Pradat on piano and Scott Silverman on drums, they'll be performing some of Vaughn's most iconic melodies that defined her extraordinary career. The performance will start at 8pm, and doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets start from RMB 180 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above.

Bonus: Eat – the Beijinger's Sausage Fest, Mar 28-30

We couldn't write about the week ahead without mentioning our upcoming Sausage Fest! Taking place from Mar 28 to 30 at the FFC, this is going to be one weiner-filled fest that you don't want to miss! We've got 50+ vendors taking part and you can read more about them in this post here and here. It's not just delicious links of meat we've got in store, though; there will also be plenty of entertainment, including some fun sausage-themed games, live music and a dedicated kids area for the little ones. Sausage Fest will be taking place at FFC South Square on Mar 28 from 4pm to 9pm and on Mar 29-30 from 11am to 9pm. Early bird tickets are RMB 20, VIP tickets are RMB 100 and tickets at the door are RMB 30. You can purchase tickets by scanning the QR code in the poster above.
