TRB, Annie's, Haidilao Old Guard Winners While Baker & Spice, The Georg, and Red Bowl Top Newcomers List
Beijing's food and beverage industry insiders converged on the Nuo Hotel Beijing Monday afternoon for the announcement of the top winners in the Beijinger's 2016 Reader Restaurant Awards, with established classics as well as newbies getting plenty of accolades.

TRB, Annie's, and Haidilao were named Restaurant of the Year in their respective categories, while newcomers Baker & Spice, The Georg, and Red Bowl topped our lists for Best New Restaurant.
TRB was the year's big winner, with an incredible 10 category wins, including its fourth consecutive win as Restaurant of the Year in the upscale non-Chinese dining category.
Annie's also repeated as Restaurant of the Year (Non-Chinese, casual dining), and came away with five awards. On the Chinese side, Haidilao was a big winner once again, collecting Restaurant of the Year (Chinese) and four other categories.
Other top trophy winners include Da Dong Roast Duck, with Da Dong himself, Dong Zhenxiang, winning Best Chef, and Hatsune's Alan Wong taking Restaurant Personality of the Year (and Hatsune continuing its decade-plus run as our readers' favorite Japanese restaurant).
The best new restaurants in their respective categories were Shanghai import Baker & Spice, Danish fine dining restaurant The Georg, and upscale hot potters Red Bowl at Rosewood Beijing. The three join TRB Bites, which won the Best New Brand Extension category in the portion of our awards that were announced after voting closed last week.
