Black Myth: Wukong Wins Top Award at Games Gala: China’s first AAA game, Black Myth: Wukong, has been awarded the Ultimate Game of the Year Award at the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards, according to China Daily. The Chinese video game, which follows the adventures of Sun Wukong, aka the Monkey King, was nominated for four awards in total ahead of the event, also taking home the award for Best Visual Design.
Temperatures Drop and Snow in the North: Beijing is expected to see a continuation of dropping temperatures and snow this weekend, reports Beijing Evening News. The trend began on Nov 21, which saw temperatures drop from a high of 14 degrees Celsius during the day to 10 degrees Celsius. Lows in the mountains and northern parts of Beijing are expected to drop to -3 degrees Celsius, while rain, sleet, and snow are expected throughout the weekend.
New Bird Species Added to City Biodiversity List: A recent biodiversity survey has found 15 new bird species in two years in the southeast of Beijing, reports Jingcheng Shi’er (京城事儿). According to the survey, the number of bird species residing in Yizhuang New City has increased from 306 in 2022 to 321 in 2024.
