MOKA Bro's Revamps Menu with New Salads, More Customization, and Extended Brunch
MOKA Bro's have just come out with their first major menu revamp since they opened their Sanlitun branch almost two years ago.
All of our favorite dishes – the smoked salmon avocado crepe, the shrimp and avocado salad, the red rice crunch Power Bowl – have made it onto the new menu, along with a few notable additions. Most of the salads have been given a bit more bulk with protein and fiber-packed ingredients like beans and grains.
New salads we tried included the seared tuna noodle salad (RMB 68) and the dill smoked salmon salad (RMB 68), the former a good balance of greens to noodles in an Asian inspired dressing, and the latter good for those who prefer a chunkier option, stuffed with large pieces of potato, carrot, and beets.
Of the slightly expanded sandwich menu, we were enamored with the earthy flavors of the goat cheese and kale (RMB 55), although the long pieces of cooked kale did make it a little bit difficult to eat with any kind of elegance.
Selective eats or those with food allergies will be happy to see that the menu has become very customizable. Among the many new options, you can choose au courant vegetable noodles or sweet potato noodles instead of traditional pasta, opt for wholegrain or multigrain bread for your sandwich, flavor your crepe with spinach or tomato, or choose to have your dessert as a crepe or a waffle, made with or without wholewheat flour.
Note that MOKA Bro's is now open for brunch on weekends, with a special brunch menu served until 3pm at both branches. We'll be enjoying brunch with their new flat white (RMB 33).
As if all that wasn't enough, look for MOKA to come out with a choose-your-own-smoothie-ingredients concept in the next few weeks, featuring fresh, seasonal fruits.
