Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now: Sanlitun Supermarket Shuts Suddenly

As you may have read on Beijing Boyce, or seen if you've been wandering around Sanlitun enjoying this weather, Heaven Supermarket is currently closed. The facade of the building fell off over the weekend, (apparently) following the heavy rainfall last Thursday. There's also speculation that it might be related to the new Heaven Supermarket signage that they had installed during the last month. However it was caused, heaven only knows. The bad news is that Sanlitun is currently bereft of an award-winning shop to drink vodka and cream soda. The good news is that it seems that no one was hurt ... and that at some point soon Heaven will once again be a place on earth. As soon as we find out when we'll let you know.

This was obviously a devious Trevor Metz conspiracy to defraud me of both fame and fortune. Fear not, he will pay dearly in pints and Dark 'n' Stormies for many a night to come.
