Bar of the Month: Mao Mao Chong
Stephen and Stephanie Rocard’s bar has long been a cult favorite, but has steadily expanded its following, pulling in curious drinkers from all around Beijing and winning a ton of awards this year. We can hardly remember hearing a bad word about the place – and in this city, that’s a feat worth drinking to.

I went there once. One of the staff members was a prick. Not sure how I liked the way this guy treated customers. The other was really friendly. But, the jerk was the standout, surly and arrogant. I've better things to do with my time than hang out in a place that feels it's too good for its own customers. May not return.
At the same time, the guy could have been having a bad day. Either way...
