OK, as a foreigner I must admit it's kind of hard for me to really tell the difference from one hot pot place to another. They are all quite similar to me. Nonetheless, FWIW. this place (on Dongzhimen Nei) was really good. Perfectly spicy without being too hot. Good meat. Fresh veggies. It's a chain, so there are branches located all over Beijing. I think you can count on the consistency of the quality and service. Our service was good -- In the beginning we were given a bracelet, and the waiters all seem to have some sort of competition to see who can win the bracelet from the table. Not sure if that was officially what was going on, but we thought it was kind of fun so we made friends and even took photos with some of the staff (went with a table of visitors from America). The interior seems to be a bit nicer than most of the other hot pot places I've been to, but it's nothing super-fancy, just a mid-range (cost) chain instead of a local mom-n-pop shop.
