Stumbled across this place for lunch yesterday. While its obscure location (on the second floor of the New Oriental Media Center on Guanghua Lu) certainly does its business no favors, this Xinjiang place does its staples well: the hand-pulled latiaozi were chewy and delicious, and the sauce had the right ratio of lamb, tomatoes and veggies without being too oily (as with other Xinjiang dives). The selection of lamb kebabs are impressive (I opted for the cheapest selection at RMB 3 a skewer) and was duly satisfied with their taste and the quality of the meat. The menu had some fancier options (grilled lamb of leg etc.) that looked quite appetizing, so I am inclined to come back some time with a bigger group.

The one downside is the decor and atmosphere - all white tile and a contingent of inactive waitstaff that unfortunately is a sure sign of a flailing business due to the bad location. I hope for their sake they are getting a great discount on rent.
