Show Your (Stars and) Stripes: Celebrating 4th of July in Beijing

American expats may be far from home, but there is still plenty going on in Beijing to help you get into the Independence Day spirit. We can't promise fireworks, but we can promise plenty of beers, burgers and bacchanalia.

Independence Day Extravaganza
Celebrate Independence Day with a bang at The Kro's Nest's Chaoyang Joy City, where RMB 100 gets you access to an open bar late into the evening. Expect DJs and bar snacks to go with your drinks.

It's America vs. The World at The Brick, with beer pong, flip cup and more starting from 7pm. Happy hour and hot dogs available from 5pm to midnight.

Celebrate Independence Day on the terrace at The Hutong, with an all-American menu provided by Fat Face Dining. Get your fill of buffalo chicken wings, spicy skewers and Fat Buddha's famous brownies, among other treats. Book online via Yoopay for advance tickets.

Tim's will be offering homesick expats a taste of the U.S. of A. with hot dogs, cold beers and live music.

Call by Great Leap on Friday and pay RMB 100 for two beers and that most American of foods, a burger (plus fries).

Great Leap Brewing Presents an Independence Day Celebration (No. 6 Original Location) (Saturday, July 5)
On Saturday, Great Leap's original hutong location is firing up the BBQ and offering two beers plus a cheeseburger or old fashioned BBQ grilled burger for RMB 100.

Independence Day at Q Mex

What's more American than a good old fashioned barbecue cook out? Enjoy an all-American barbecue feast cooked up by the grill masters at The Peninsula's roof-top Yun Bar.

Happy Birthday USA at the Great Wall
The Schoolhouse at Mutianyu is offering a free beer to every adult American citizen who visits the Schoolhouse on July 4.
