Sam Wang is thehighest level instructor in China under senior grandmaster Vincent Palumbo. He also has instructor certifications from several different self-defense and CQC organizations such as KRAV MAGA. He has previously been invited to teach defensive tactics to counter-terror units, SWAT, prison guards, police officers, and bodyguards across the country.He also has years of experience teaching self-defense to civilian adults and juniors.

WHAT IS ESKRIMA

Eskrima, also known as Kali or Arnis, it is aweapon-based martial art from the Philippines. Eskrima is one of the most complete fighting styles that contains blunt weapons, edge weapons, empty hand striking, and grappling.

Unlike many other martial arts that require a high level of physical ability,Eskrima is suitable for all genders and abilities. Many tactical units adopted this martial art style because of its unique training methods and efficiency in close-quarter combat. It is also one of the most popular martial arts used in action movies that involve the special forces and secret agents, such as the Jason Bourne series and the Mission Impossible series.

THE ADVANTAGES OF ESKRIMA WORKSHOP

1.Diversity training materials and methods

ESKRIMA is mixed with varieties of blunt and edge weapons training, empty hands striking,joints manipulation, takedowns and etc. to increase the survival chances under real world self defense situations by combining functional combat skills and combat concepts.

2.No limits on gender, age and martial arts background

ESKRIMA is more about fighting with unequal level of force, especially when you dealing with bigger opponent or multiple opponents. The training is focusing on fighting with different types of weapons. Eskrima is for all ages and gender because The weapons will bring more advantages in real life self defense situation.

3.Learning combat skills and receiving fitness

Eskrima is an intelligent martial art, besides enjoy the sparring training with protection armors and cool training weapons, the unique training methods will increase the coordination, flexibility and combat conditions in a progressive way, it is an ideal way of workout and mental relaxation.

This Sunday 19th March at 12noon the Beijing Golfer's group are playing at the beautiful Orient Pearl Golf Club in the mountains just north of Beijing - easy to get to from both CBD and Shunyi!

we will start with a simple yoga warmup to stretch and warm up the joints. And then we will dance! Hasina will playfully guide us as we learn some basic steps and gestures. After getting comfortable with foundational steps we will make the practice more dynamic with movement across the floor.

All together we will learn a short and beautiful dance which we will perform in groups! The sessions will end with a short yoga cool down to wind the energy down. After class, let's enjoy healthy and tasty ice cream from VanillaPepper!
