Tickets to Beijing Guoan's First Match in New Gongti Sell Out in Five Minutes
For enthusiasts eagerly anticipating Beijing Guoan's first ever match in the soon-to-open new Workers' Stadium who haven't yet scored tickets, brace for some disheartening news: The highly sought-after tickets were snapped up within five minutes of their 11am release today (Apr 13). Available ticket prices ranged from RMB 120 to RMB 480. As of press time, all categories have been completely sold out.
As we previously reported, the new Workers' Stadium is gearing up to host Beijing Guoan's Chinese Super League (CSL) season opener against Meizhou Hakka on April 15. The match will kick off at 8.05 pm, preceded by a grand opening ceremony for the stadium. After the opening match, Guoan will hit the road for a couple of weeks before returning to Gongti on Apr 29, to face off against Shandong Taishan.
Many netizens have commented on the high demand for tickets, with some saying: "Wow, it looks like it's surely hard to get any one of those tickets for a soccer match at Gongti! Can anyone save a ticket for me?"
With Beijing Guoan making their first appearance in three years, there is no doubt that the city will be in the spotlight once again.
