Winners of Our Best Buns Competition Spill All on How to Achieve the Perfect Butt
Last weekend's Beijing Burger Festival was arguably the greatest foodie event to happen in Beijing since someone realized that you could fold a crackling wafer into an already delicious jianbing. And the cherry on top? Our Best Buns competition, sponsored by Hotel Jen's Beersmith, of course!
Booties were shaken and glutes were grabbed in the epic fight of flesh, and now that the excitement has cooled and butts have been iced, we call upon the winners of each day's competition to spill their secret derriere regiments. Those winners, who were judged the finest of the fine by trainers from B Active Fitness, include Audrey, who took the crown for Ms. Best Buns on Saturday and Sanam who won Mr. Best Buns on Sunday, as well as finalists Lareina and Peter. Together, let us clench and read what it takes to achieve rock-hard man buns.
...
What ever in the world compelled you to enter a grueling Best Buns competition?
Audrey: I decided to enter the Best Buns competition just for fun. Winning was just icing on the cake!
Lareina: Mostly for fun, and to feel good.
Peter: Because I thought I had good buns to shake. It was fun being cheered by the big crowd as you strive to do your best.
Sanam: Well I entered because my friends literally forced me to, and I thought it’ll be a laugh to do it.
What was the hardest part of the competition?
Audrey: There was nothing hard for me because I’m already into zumba workouts so I was familiar with some of the moves.
Lareina: All the movement was very tiring.
Peter: The hardest part was the shaking, I have no experience of doing that at all. I really tried but the buns decided to do the opposite of what the instructor was saying, they were not moving at all!
Sanam: I don’t think there was a part that was hard, it was a very smooth transition with the group chat and the rules being laid out and so forth. The hardest part for me personally was being confident enough to get on that stage in the first place.
In your opinion, what makes the perfect set of buns?
Audrey: The perfect set of buns comes from your mama [laughs]. I would say genes and working out so as to have a perfect shape!
Lareina: Hmmmm, working out for sure.
Peter: Size, experience, and flexibility.
Sanam: Being confident enough to know how to use them and flaunt it. No matter the shape or size!
Audrey, winning this competition is a huge milestone! What's next for you and your buns?
Audrey: I plan not to procrastinate ever again about going to the gym for the remaining half year. I also plan to take those four booty classes; I think I will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the drills we did on stage. Then in general, enjoy my life as much as possible, eat healthier, get back in shape, work hard on my school, and last but not least... be happy always.
Amen.
