EAT: Your bite-sized guide to the best eats to be had in Beijing this week

Apr 26: Arcade by Hatchery closing party

After a long stint in Guomao, Arcade by Hatchery is moving on to a new collaboration in Sanlitun opening May 1. We'll have more details on that at a later date but in the meantime, you can celebrate the move on Apr 26 at their closing party. Expect plenty of food and drink specials on their signature offerings, including fries with chicken salt for RMB 15, dandan nachos for RMB 35, and the Mayan bowl for RMB 50. Apr 26: Luga's Dongzhimen soft opening party

Get ahead of the crowds and celebrate the soft opening of Luga’s new Dongzhimen brewery and bistro. A guest list spot bags you two hours of free-flow on Luga’s own-brewed beer from 6-8pm on Friday, Apr 26. Scan the QR code on the left-hand side of the poster above to get on the guest list.
 

Q Mex spring specials

Q Mex are currently offering a couple of spring specials inspired by a recent staff trip to New York. Their new duck carnitas burrito (RMB 68) is sumptuous mix of succulent slow-roasted pulled duck, guacamole, kale, jewel rice, and crispy duck skin for an added bite. For the full experience, wash it down with a tart mezcal margarita (RMB 68), which features Mina Real mezcal, lime juice, simple syrup, and Grand Marnier.
 

Apr 28: April Vegan Outreach dinner at Obentos

Join Vegans of Beijing for a delicious Japanese-inspired meal at Obentos' newest location in Lido this Sunday. Dig into a family-style menu of grilled tofu with fresh asparagus and wasabi sesame sauce and summer sukiyaki hot pot with udon noodles. Whether you are vegan, veg-curious, or just up for a delicious meal, all are welcome at these monthly events. The dinner is priced at RMB 132 per person including a drink; scan the QR code on the poster to register.
