Game Night
Board game lovers converge every Monday night at Yard House in Sanlitun Soho for a subdued hit of old-school entertainment. Each week, they choose a new game to play deep into the evening. The Antikythera Shipwreck
The Palace Museum exhibits relics from Greece’s Antikythera wreck, a Roman-era shipwreck from the second quarter of the first century BCE. Discovered in the shipwreck were statues, coins, works of art, and a device many regard as the world’s oldest analog computer, the Antikythera mechanism (pictured above). RMB 40. Open Mic Night
Soi Baochao AKA the invincible venue of Beiluogu Xiang, invites local musicians, singers, poets, comedians, instrumentalists, freestyle rappers, b-boxers, dancers, and even DJs to show what they've got. An open forum to flex your self-expression muscles and make friends, the hutong bar turns their stage over to anyone wanting to practice in front of an unassuming crowd. Free. 9pm. Soi Baochao

Stress in the City
With Spring Festival around the corner, the stresses of life may loom more than ever. The New Year may bring the pressure to marry, buy a house, impress your colleagues, care for parents, and to provide for them kids. When coupled with the smaller stressors of everyday life in a big city, Beijing can sometimes be too much; this workshop hopes to help you take stock of what really matters and create means to deal with life in China. 'Beauty in Landscape': Collected Landscape Works Exhibition
The latest exhibition at the National Art Museum of China explores landscape artwork collected since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The show includes 300 pieces from some of the country's modern masters, spanning categories such as traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, print, watercolor, and sculpture. Free (ID required). Chinese New Year Dumpling Party
It wouldn't be CNY without some botched dumpling making, but not all of your dumplings have to come apart in the pot – there are secrets and people kind enough to share them! Some such people are The Hutong, who will throw their fourth annual dumpling party this Friday. Tag along for a step-by-step guide of this annual ritual as well as all-you-can-eat dumplings, beer, mulled wine, and lucky prizes. RMB 200. 5-8pm. The Hutong

Recreational Squash
Wind down your week with a rigorous game of squash, which is slowly gaining popularity in China as it builds momentum in hope of one being considered an Olympic Sport.
