This Thursday (Dec 12), Modernista is getting a bit of magic in the form of tap dancing master Gunjo Kubo. He’ll be bringing his American tap dancing skills, plus a bit of physical miming for a blend of rhythm, energy, and physical storytelling.

Drink – Brews at The Factory
One of our favorite spots for a beer in Beijing, The Factory works with Beijing-based brewers Oak & Iron to bring English classics, often with a Beijing twist, to life. Favorites include their Chinness Stout, Beijing Boddies Golden Ale, recent takes on Irish red ale and more.
Come next week, they’ll be brewing up a few stouts for Christmastime, with flavors of orange and chocolate and black forest gateaux (see above). They're also one of the only spots in Beijing to offer imported UK crisps like Walkers, Hula Hoops, Mini Cheddars, and Monster Munch for the full British pub experience. Be Merry – The Hutong’s Winter Fayre
It wouldn’t be Christmas in Beijing without the return of The Hutong’s annual Winter Fayre. Head to their converted courtyard in Beixinqiao to find art, books, maps, snacks, and much more from the minds of the capital’s creatives and businesses – all fit for enjoying on the spot or gifting to friends and family.
