EAT: Vegan Outreach Dinner at Mosto, BOGOF Beer and Tacos, Dog Day Afternoon at Side Street
A few weeks ago we blogged about Mosto's new all-vegan menu and now is your chance to try some of the dishes for yourself, as Vegans of Beijing are holding their latest Vegan Outreach Dinner there on Saturday, Sep 2. Vegans of Beijing is a group of local and foreign volunteers who are committed to spreading the vegan message in Beijing. Their aim is to make living a plant-based lifestyle as easy and accessible as possible, including organizing vegan dinners at otherwise non-vegan restaurants. Priced at RMB 288 per person, the set meal for the event consists of five vegan tasters from Mosto's new plant-based menu: tomato gazpacho, eggplant mousse, tofu ravioli, vegetable tagine, and berry crumble, along with a glass of wine. Head to Yoopay to register for the event.
Over in the hutongs, El Nido @ The Other Place and Palms L.A. are celebrating the first full month of their collaboration with some great BOGOF deals on food and drink. From 5-7pm, Mon-Fri, all draft beer is buy-one-get-one-free. All draft beers are included, from the cheapest to the most expensive. If you're more into lunchtime eating than evening drinking, from noon-2pm, Monday to Friday, all of Palms L.A.'s tacos are also buy-one-get-one-free.
Think dogs can't eat burgers? Think again. This Saturday, Sep 1, Side Street is putting on an afternoon of food and fun that is as much for our furry four-legged friends as it is for us. They will be putting on free snacks and dog-safe burgers (no onions, garlic, or spices) for your dog, plus beer and cocktail specials and DJ Peter Stone for the humans. Swing by to celebrate Doggy Day from noon onwards.
