Vegetable Noodles and Coconut Yogurt Bowls Highlights on Tribe’s New Summer Menu
Seizing the warm weather and the latest food trends making the rounds, the folks at Tribe have launched their new summer menu. Off the bat, the new menu includes an All Day Dancing Breakfast Grain Bowl*, Silently Smoked Salmon Muffin, an array of salads and coconut yogurt bowls, voodles (vegetable noodles), as well as a beef sandwich.
Dining at their venue in Solana, we first tried their Tap That Tofu Salad, featuring pan-fried tofu, various mushrooms, mini carrots, pickled radish, baby cucumber, topped with cashews on a mix of leafy greens. The large cubes of tofu were both crispy on the outside and smooth in the middle thanks to having been pan-fried. Unlike normal tofu, these chunks were well-seasoned and bulked up the otherwise varied and fresh assortment of ingredients.
The most original items on the new menu are Tribe's new range of voodles, or vegetable noodles, whereby the kitchen has replaced the traditional dough-based staple with shredded vegetables. The Bow Down to Beef Voodle Ramen, for example, lost none of its beef bone broth punch when eaten alongside the zucchini, turnip, and carrot noodles. The bowl is also packed with slow-cooked beef tenderloin and an egg as well as mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, and spring onions, making for oodles of color and flavor without the guilt of filling up on carbohydrates during the sunnier months.
However, our favorite of the bunch was the coconut yogurt bowl. Served in a real coconut shell and topped with an assortment of fruit, the dish proved to be much more than healthy eye candy. Specifically, the Peach Me Right Coconut Yogurt Bowl, includes homemade coconut yogurt, sliced peach and nectarine, raspberries, peach and ginger muesli to give some extra bite, mashed peach compote for added tanginess, and a dusting of jasmine green tea powder for an earthy and herbal kick. To attest to the rich and creamy coconut yogurt, Tribe's in-house made rendition is fermented for 48 hours, and is perfect for vegans, the lactose intolerant, or just diners looking for a punchy milk alternative.
* The All Day Dancing Breakfast Grain Bowl and Pleasure From the Pineapple and Coconut Yogurt Bowl are not available at Tribe's Sanlitun location.

Re: Vegetable Noodles and Coconut Yogurt Bowls Highlights on...
I love tribe. The food is good quality, creative and it represents a culture of positivity that is unique. However, after coming back from overseas, the service here is now shocking (new staff i don’t recognise)
We came here on Sunday 9 June around 9:40am. Ordered two items. The woman behind the coffee machine has a scowl the whole time we were ordering. When we asked a question “can we get the almond milk”, she mumbled back “don’t have it”. How about the coconut yogurt “don’t have it”. Both were on the menu.
It’s not a language problem because I switch to mandarin.
Food took 30minutes to prepare: I saw that there were takeout orders getting ready but please, treat your customers as you would anyone else, kindly - especially when this represents the company culture.
