[UPDATE] Farewell Steak and Booze: Café de la Poste to Go Organic, Vegan

[UPDATE] Check out the latest poster (12.16PM, April the 1st). The party starts at 6pm,deals on drinks are still on.

Café de la Poste – Beixinqiao's favorite French haunt and winner of Best Wine List in this year's the Beijinger Reader Restaurant Awards – celebrates its 10th anniversary this Friday.

In a surprise move, they have also taken the opportunity to announce that they will shift their "business philosophy", taking the cozy restaurant and bar and transforming it into an organic restaurant, serving only vegan dishes. Alcohol will be limited and they will serve mostly smoothies and fresh juices to replace wines, beers, and spirits.

Starting next week, "Café de la Poste will become a 100 percent organic sustainable/gluten free/healthy/organic/vegen restaurant," says Manager Justin Barthelemy, and you will be able to find a variety of health foods, such as tartines, tarte tatin, and tartare on the menu.

The closing party of sorts will be Friday, April 1 from 6pm, and guests can enjoy 20 percent off all meat until 10pm and RMB 25 mixed drinks afterwards.

Proprietor Christophe Rovan, who was voted into our Dining Hall of Fame at the beginning of the month, also gave us a sneak peek at the new logo:

Yum, broccoli. Always the life of the party.
