Saturday: Shuangjing Showdown 3 Dukes It Out at Tiger King MMA
Get in the ring! Or at least stand around and drink beer while other people do it.
Twelve fights featuring 24 of Beijing's top amateur boxers, muay thai, and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters are set for Shuangjing Showdown 3, hapening this Saturday, December 5, from 1-6pm. Each boxing and muay thai match consists of three, two-minute rounds, with MMA fights held in three, three-minute rounds.
The venue has changed from Babyface Club to Tiger King MMA Gym (1 Gongti Nanlu, basement of Instituto Cervantes, enter on the east side). Tickets will now be on sale at the door on event day for only RMB 50. Presale tickets purchased for RMB 200 can be refunded on the day.
Although no food will be available onsite, Jing-A will be there pouring their Mandarin Wheat and Worker's Pale Ale craft beers, along with Beergaritas. Jing-A will also hold the official afterparty, with tickets to Shuangjing Showdown giving holders happy hour prices on the aforementioned two beer brands until midnight.
