Synthesists Unite: Too Much Sh*t on the Table Vol. 1 at DDC this Saturday
Gear heads unite for this gig at DDC titled “Too Much Sh*t on the Table.” This signifies not actual feces scattered about a foldable table, (or a noise table as it is called in music circles around the world) but gargantuan amounts of electronic musical gear. Each act will connect analog synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines then run everything through effects, that will subsequently process the sounds into a shimmering waterfall of joyful noise.
We can guarantee that this will not be your run of the mill foray into a Gongti nightclub, but an eclectic display of elektronische musik from a couple of Beijing’s most intense synthesists, not DJs. These heads will be showing off loads of oscillator squelching, drum machine stuttering, and sample crushing with a bunch of sleek ear piercing machines. The lineup includes Noise Arcade, Flip Flop, Mengqi, and Lobekraft. It all begins at 9pm, and RMB 40 gets you in.
