Rock on Skates: Midi and Vans to Join Forces

As the buzz surrounding the approaching music festival season reaches fever pitch, it’s becoming increasingly hard to stymie the flow of confirmed and mostly unconfirmed news we hear.

One of the more interesting snippets that could help Midi Festival to score points on its well-armed rivals this holiday weekend is that one festival sponsor, namely skater giant Vans, is set to bring its distinct brand of hip street style to Midi revelers.

A dedicated Vans area will feature art, hip-hop and skateboarding events plus merchandise to check out. The Vans x Midi Tang stage will host an eclectic set of big-named acts, including performances from leading Israeli punk rock band Useless ID, and aboriginal reggae hip-hoppers SE (Sun Eagles) amongst others.

The Vans x Midi Tang stage is also set to be screen No Room For Rock Stars, a documentary feature following the 2010 Vans Warped Tour, which has been promoting young, unsigned bands for more than 20 years.

For a sneak preview of the screening, check out the video below. But do remember to lower the volume - it’s a tad loud.
