New Openings: Invito

With so many Italian restaurants in Beijing, how do you stand out from the crowd? First, having two floors helps – a top level that offers “fine dining” (a lunch or dinner set runs between RMB 168-988) and a cozier first floor turning out tasty sandwiches (RMB 58-88), salads (RMB 78-118) and desserts.

Second, a commitment to using only organic produce definitely wins you points.

Third, a wide range of the familiar (pizza and pasta from RMB 38-78) and the exotic (white and black truffles feature prominently throughout the Tuscan-focused menu) should be agreeable to all.

And last but not least, a waterside patio overlooking a picturesque pond glazed with lily pads certainly doesn’t hurt. Romantic dinner, quick lunch or mid-shopping-spree teatime, Invito has something to win you over.
