Beat the Heat with the Beijinger's Summer Ice Coffee Special

While a piping hot cup of coffee each day is a good thing, with the heat we’ve been having a cup of cold joe isn’t a bad idea either. Looking for handmade ice coffee with a bit more flavor? That's where ice drip cold brew comes in.

Here’s how it works: cold water -- or cold water with ice -- is set above ground coffee and allowed to drip over the grounds to extract a quality brew. Think of it as pour-over coffee, but a bit slower and, of course, colder.

Ice drip is similar to cold brew, but the method results in a less gritty mouthfeel due to the grounds being separate from the water during the brewing process. That being said, it still has the same benefits as cold brew -- less acidity and more flavorful, stronger coffee.

And we're bringing ice drip coffee at home to you in an exclusive flash sale! This special package -- featuring ice drip coffee kit, 200g bags of premium coffee benas, and more -- is available for purchase 'til Friday, Aug 19!

Here's what's included:

Café Flatwhite’s Rickshaw No. 1 Blend

The first coffee blend ever created by popular chain Café Flatwhite, Rickshaw No. 1 features notes of caramel, baked bread and bright acidic fruits. It’s best enjoyed with milk to get the most out of the blend.

Fox Fur Coffee’s House Blend

Fox Fur, one of Beijing’s newest coffee shops, prides itself combining specialty coffees sourced from environmentally friendly growers around China. Their house blend is no exception, full-bodied with and carefully roasted to deliver sweet caramel and rum chocolate flavors straight to your cup.

Ocean Grounds’ Guatemala Geisha

Coming from Ocean Grounds, a California-born, Shanghai-based coffee brand that’s been leading China’s 4th wave coffee movement since 2010, comes a single origin coffee from Guatemala. Hailing from the Flor de Café and Oswaldo Perez y Perez regions, this medium roast features notes of Earl Grey tea, sweet orange, jasmine and other citrus notes.

SOFASOGOOD’s Beijinger Special Cold Brew Blend

An extension of the original Café de Sofa coffee shop brand, SOFASOGOOD aims to do coffee in a warm environment that’s enjoyable and joyous with every cup. This special cold brew blend they’ve mixed up especially for the Beijinger is made from a blend of Ethiopia Yigacheffe, Brazil Yellow Bourbon, and Colombia Cauca Caturra beans creating a coffee that’s rich in raisin, caramel, butter and milk chocolate notes with a nice crema to boot.

Also included is a Hero Ice Drip Coffee Set  (valued at RMB 248) -- featuring a sleek design with art deco meets science lab looks that’ll make you feel like you’re cooking up meth with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman -- albeit meth of the more flavorful, legal, caffeinated variety.

That plus a special Beijinger dark walnut coffee spoon and ice cube tray, and the option to throw in a Hero coffee grinder as well.

Altogether, the beans, ice drip kit (an RMB 248 value) and other materials (minus the grinder, an additional RMB 148) would set you back around RMB 619, but with our special 24 percent discount, it's all yours for RMB 468!
