EAT: New Brunch at Village Cafe, Tel Aviv Brunch at Arcade, Naked Nut Butter is Back, Sunset Spritz at Fiume
The Opposite House's Village Café has always been one of our favorite spots to hang out, especially in summer, thanks to their huge, bamboo-walled terrace. Now there's an extra reason to spend your day lounging on their terrace with the launch of their new brunch menu. Although all the classics are there, this looks to be good brunch for egg haters, with an emphasis on lighter dishes such as grilled chicken Caesar salad and Asian breakfast dishes such as jianbing, fried rice, and Hanoi-style chicken pho. That being said, as egg fans we're looking forward to trying the spicy shakshuka. Brunch is served from 11.30am-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and you can also add free-flow fresh juices, teas, coffees, beer, and wine from RMB 168 per person.
If you've been missing Hatchery's Tel Aviv concept, one of the last to grace their now-closed Dongsishitiao location, then you'll be glad to hear that it is back for brunch every weekend in June at Arcade. The brunch is also a chance for them to show their our newest incubatee – Halo Hummus. Halo Hummus founder Nicole will be blending, baking and blitzing up a storm for a RMB 188 mezze menu that includes dips, pickles, breads, salads, and a Middle Eastern deli counter with build-your-own wraps, salads, and grain bowls. You can also order a la carte brunch dishes such as eggs Benedict and eggs on toast. Brunch is served every weekend from 11am-4pm.
Frequent Hatchery collaborators and purveyors of delicious nut-based spreads Naked Nut Butters are back after a brief hiatus. They are relaunching with a brand new logo and two hero products, Bare Naked Peanut Butter and Bare Naked Cashew Butter. Both are made with 100 percent nuts with no additives for a healthy, high protein, low carb treat. You can purchase the butters in person at Yoga Yard in Gongti and Nanshan in Jiaodaokou (expect more locations to come) or online via their Youzan shop.
If you're more of an evening person (or simply need a drink after a long day), head to Fiume and Lievito from 5-7pm every day for buy-one-get-one-free Aperol spritzes and Italian beer. They will also have special promotional prices on wines by the bottle and glass.

thank you!
Does Halo Hummus have an official account? Can't seem to find their products on Hatchery's wechat or any of the delivery apps
Hey Goblet, I don't think they have an official account but founder Nicole Bonnah runs everything out of her personal account (nicolebonnah).
