They have two menus with different prices and even when I went and ordered in chinese with chinese friends they tried to give us the foreigner menu with much higher prices until we complain. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES trying to fleece unsuspecting tourists by pretending to be traveler friendly. I wish there were a 0 star button.

they have this at all locations but this happened at the wangjing location.

Our bill went from 139 kuai to just under 100. 干煸豆角 for example is 29 on the foreigner menu and 22 on the normal menu.

Dumplings had the biggest price difference for 18 dumplings it went from 55 to like 30 kuai. They're scamming based off the credibility they've built up over the years and the guidebook mentions they've earned. Greed plain and simple.

No they were two actual separate menus, one which was hidden on the side. They gave us the Chinese + English menu. The other is in only Chinese and prices are all about 4-8 kuai lower per dish with dumplings significantly more. When asked about this, the waitstaff said that you have to order minimum 2 辆 on the chinese menu but on the english menu you can order 1 liang as part of an overpriced set of 5辆. We were only informed about this difference AFTER we had ordered eaten and paid. We would have gladly ordered 2辆 of our dumplings had we known we are paying the same as 1辆 on the English menu but getting 2 辆。

It was only after significant pressure and the involvement of several waitresses that they admitted that we get the 外宾 menu because we have a foreigner in our group.
