Was trying to check out the Taco Bar next door but it was closed for a private party. So we decided to have dinner at Home Plate. Asked the host for a table for 2, without even looking she said they were full and asked us to sit at the bar...after having a drink at the bar we noticed that there was many places for us to sit and moved to join a table that could have fit 10 but only 3 were sitting at..They should train a little better ..the host should do this, not the customer. Other wise what is the point of having a host at all.
Luckly the rest of the experience was great. We ordered a quesadillia with brisket for an app..I was really good, chessy and meaty. If I was to nit pick the salsa that came with it was a little bland, but overall it was awesome.. for our main we ordered the rack of ribs, these were amazing, smoky and tender, falling off the bone and with 4 or 5 diffrent BBQ sauces to try. It ended up being quite fun. The ribs came with 2 sides we picked the hush puppies and coleslaw, kinda plain. Not bad, but didnt stand out either. Next time we go I will try diffrent sides..The ribs were so good it did not really matter.
We had bottled beer, which was a little pricey but not crazy...the tequilla list was nice and the service was good after the first round of laziness.
