I went to The Local for a meal expecting "pub fare" quality + Beijing (AKA pretty bad food) and was completely blown away by the quality. At the risk of sounding like I'm getting paid to write this (I'm not, promise), the steak I had was honestly the best steak of my life, right down to the steak sauce (which, again, I expected to be bbq-ey and from a bottle). Kudos Local peeps. You know what you're doing. I'll be back.

Thank you for the glowing review! While we're happy to hear such a huge compliment - it's a tough one to live up to.

I understand why your expectations are low, but I've always felt that pub food can be good food. We're primarily a bar, but we focus on and really care about the quality of our food. I'm glad you enjoyed the fruits of our efforts. By the way - we do make our steak sauces (and our BBQ sauce) in house - glad you appreciate that as well.

Thanks again for the positive feedback. It means a lot to us and I love to give the kitchen staff good news.
