I really think the review by juliet.ban@163.com misrepresents this place. I've been here at least two dozen times, at all times of day, from events ranging from the Superbowl to New Years, and the service here is as good as any casual bar/restaurant in the city: both the staff and the management are super nice. The happy hour food deals are some of the best values in the city, matched only by the likes of Homeplate for American fair in the price range; during happy hour the deal might be even better. Great for watching sports, catching up with friends, grabbing a servicable but affordable steak, or even a casual date. If I'm jonesing for good American food, I'll usually choose homeplate; if I want a cocktail I'll head to Revolution; a beer - Heaven. But sometimes you want a Cheers type place to hang out with your friends, and the Local fits the bill. Seriously, the warmest, friendliest bar in town. Quiet enough for conversation but happening enough to get drunk. Obviously - I can't speak to that user's experience, and I'm not calling them a liar, but I really don't think that it's representative.
