After a first visit here, we're unconvinced. Service was obviously good compared to most places here, although they did leave us thirsty for dessert as the water refills disappeared, and the patio was nice enough, but the food... considering the prices (850 yuan for two, with only one glass of wine each) it was pretty unremarkable. Pork pate was the best of it- the snails didn't taste of much, and the beef and lamb dishes were large servings of meat and potatoes, but to be honest nothing about them stood out. We haven't had much French food, granted, so maybe we're missing something, but it just felt that any complexity of flavour or texture was lacking- there was no 'wow' factor in there. The selection of desserts was nice enough, and we finished absolutely stuffed (to the point of discomfort, actually... probably shouldn't have finished the main courses)- but at the price I can't imagine ever feeling an impulse to go back there.
