Was there last night with a friend. Whenever friends and I meet up, we're always looking for a quiet place to talk. We've been annoyed beyond measure with other restaurants, which start out quiet in the evenings and get louder and LOUDER by the end of the evening. Tried Luce last night, and loved the peace of the place. A few other folks there, but was easy to find an out-of-the-way table and chat without every other customer in the place listening in, desperately trying to practice English or just eavesdrop on others' conversations for fun.
Food was good: had the salmon salad, which was not quite what I expected, but turned out to be delicious--good combination of salmon, avocado and I think mango. Nice flavor mix. The lamb and sea bass were also good--well-prepared, nice presentation.
The free basket of bread was GREAT. Soft bread, fresh from the oven, and tasted to me like Italian bread should.
