Review of Shin Kong Place
How can a place that has the world's top luxury brands have restrooms that are so ghetto. I've seen better restrooms in gas stations (in the US and Europe).
First of all, no toilet paper and the paper towel dispensers were empty. The toilet stalls are scratched up, missing the hook to hang one's jacket, and alternatively covered with rust and things unnamed.

Re: Gas Station-Style Restrooms
agreed! Actually, the whole of China Central Place has become a complete dump.
Shame.

Re: Gas Station-Style Restrooms
You have to remember: in China, a building's age is in "dog years." For example, China Central Place's shopping mall "Shin Kong Place," which opened in 2007(?) is already 49 years old!
Joking aside, buildings age very rapidly in China because of odd and impractical design and poor management.
Restrooms in even older shopping complexes such as Oriental Plaza (from about 2001) are even worse...first, they are difficult to find, and they poorly maintained.
China Central Place has gone downhill fast! The design of the complex is so bad it boggles the imagination. There is always traffic on the streets on all sides of the JW Marriott Hotel in China Central Place...and the traffic is EXACERBATED - not relieved - by unimaginably poor design.
