So after I wrote a fair comment on a blog post about a new beer delivery website, I got this private message from the owners of The Drive-Thru.
hey boy....obviously since hoegaarden is saturated, and we carry 172 beers. it's a simple marketing ploy to get people to try other bottled beers. hoegaarden is nothing really, but since you feel like your pussy is hurting over the inflated price, and your probably a school teacher. i'll cut you a special deal today! i'll sell you an entire case of hoegaarden for 11. rmb a bottle, and have it delivered cold, but you personally have to buy a case. no problem, we cater to everyone.

Pretty disgusting customer service right there. I actually used to get large orders from these people for parties but won't be doing that anymore. Strange, pretty gross and obviously from someone with sub-par intelligence, looking at the spelling and grammar. Ew.
This was the comment I made about Drive-Thru to garner such a response:
Drive Thru is a good service but the prices are pretty inflated. I can get Hoegaarden bottles at J-lou's for 11RMB when they are on special (which is very often) and at Heaven supermarket for 14RMB any day. Drive Thru is 20RMB a bottle. Pretty much 50-100% more expensive than other stores across the full range of bottles.

Agreed that the comment is pretty grotesque. I know the owners of the Drive Thru from when they opened the Brick back in the day in Shuangjing.
The western part of the ownership, the one I assume is responsible for the letter written above, considers himself somewhat of an innovative entrepreneur. I have heard him go as far as to say that his goal is to own businesses while doing 'as little networking as possible'...AKA he is anti-social and probably incapable of any sort of collaborative team effort due to a child like need for self indulgence.
Unfortunately, if they are serious about being in a service industry but can't take a little criticism I don't think they will be around too long.

I heard that when someone wrote a negative review of the Brick in the Beijinger, he went to their offices and threatened them. Don't want to rumor monger so can anyone confirm this?

I can have cheap beer IF I PERSONALLY buy the beer, so that he can know who I am and come to confront me about it. That's what I took from his bitter, cry-baby message.
