Whilst I'd have to say I agree with petri71 on most of his points, food service and staff is not yet being invested enough in red tree. But for those of you who went to it's opening event and it's ladies night you would have seen that this place has massive potential.

The complimentary finger foods served were delicious without any complaints from the 100 plus guests that were there. The vibe was great, everyone was having a great time and whilst again even these nights had their problems with not enough staff and having only one cocktail maker when the night was a mojito night (which resulted in waiters, chefs and waitresses chipping in and making some pretty nasty mojitos!)

The place is a work in progress with no one really having much experience in restaurant management and as a result like with anything, mistakes will be made. I would however urge people to give it time and also I would make the point that it is a great place to go for a pastry and coffee which is the place's specialty.

As far as a fully fledged restaurant goes however it has a lot of work to do and I only hope it takes note of that because quite frankly, Ben's pastries are indeed incredible.

Please don't review an establishment when you have a financial relationship with them. Or at the very least, disclose the relationship in your review.

Well, from the tone of the "review" one would be able to tell that I'm a friend of the establishment. Thought that would have come out pretty obvious.

If it did not come out as intended, apologies are in order.

What do you mean by financial relationship anyway?

Cheers.

The restaurant gives you money to promote them, but I guess it could be any relationship that could create a bias.

Shill reviews tend to get called out because they make this directory less useful. I have no idea if you are shilling but your account posts events for this restaurant and your profile says you work for a marketing firm called V-7 (or it did until a few minutes ago).

Anyway, good luck with your new career.

Thanks for your well wishes matt10. As a token of goodwill, I would like to invite you to attend our event this Friday for free.

Please let me know should you be able to make it. You could PM me if you wish to do so to confirm your availability.

Cheers and have a great day!

Thanks for the generous offer but I will have to politely decline. This place doesn't seem like my scene and, frankly, the reviews are pretty bad!

To be fair, we've only had one negative review thus far.

As mentioned in my earlier post, while the points made in that review were mostly valid; the people that came to the grand opening and it's ladies night would have seen it's potential.

To reiterate, the place was and still is a "work in progress"... The restaurant can and shall improve over time. It has to... to survive... As the old adage goes... "Rome was not built in a day".... Neither was red tree or any other outlet for that matter.

Granted... red tree shall never be able to satisfy everyone as that would be impossible, but then again has any other establishment been able to ever do so?

Give us another go, you never know... Everyone deserves a second chance... No?

Cheers.

Bona fide.
