I had an amazing experience at La Bamba. I ordered nachos and, when they brought them 10 minutes later, they were cold. But here's where it gets interesting: The cheese was melted! Cold melted cheese! I ordered them specially without meat so I know they weren't sitting around for an hour first...the food alchemists in the La Bamba kitchen, having apparently discovered the philosopher's stone, cracked the ancient puzzle of transmuting cold cheese into cold melted cheese without the use of heat.

The portions are huge and taste like castor oil.

2 stars because they have a pool table but, naturally, it requires the proper permits and paperwork...includes a free mad dogging by the regulars.

Hadn't realised dogging etiquette had made the 大跃进 'Great Leap Forward' from public parks in Walsall to pool tables in Wudaokou.
