Haven't come across an honest business model for a new foreign restaurant in Beijing in months, maybe a year or more. This place makes fresh Mexican food that fills a stomach for 20-30rmb.
I had a beef burrito with sour cream(30rmb). Given that I'm not a gustatory authority(and neither are you), I think it was pretty good. And with the price, who's to complain? Refried beans, lettuce, salsas, some meat, cheese, whatever else -- everything you could want for 30 quai of Mexican food.
I noticed on the menu that sodas are six or eight rmb. On the Coke Index this places Lucky Lopez in the upper echelon of pricing honesty. (Compare and castigate the places you go to that charge 20 quai for a Coke, the same product.)
Now, if only a local joint was selling decent buffalo wings and ribs at a good price. We can all hope...
P.S. thebeijinger, your photo for this place lacks

Re: An Honest Business Model Deserves Support
Coke Index? haha Good one. But you're right, that's a good litmus test for foreign establishments.

Yeah, Sida, that's the most objective way I can use to evaluate value. And I like your balanced reviews...except the cupcake one, coz I don't eat cupcakes.
