The guys at Gungho have done an outstanding job of sourcing the best gourmet ingredients for their pizzas, salads and pastas. I am constantly surprised at their liberal use of massive chunks of feta cheese (try the Greek salad), kalamata olives and other quality ingredients. The olives especially, really pop with flavour compared with the dull canned olives you get from other joints.
The menu has a great variety in terms of innovative menu options (baby squid pizza, thai beef salad) classics (pepperoni, margherita) and different price points (standards, faves and top shelf). A large standard pizza and a large 'our faves' salad (again, try the Greek) will only set you back about RMB 120 which is cheap even by papa johns standards. The salad portions are huge by the way, easily feeds 2 with a large pizza.
The service is excellent, their system remembers your name and address, so they give you that personal touch and you can also order online. My only peeve is that even though I live about 200m from their store it can still take nearly an hour to deliver. This isn't a huge issue though since they clearly put more effort into their food than the average delivery outfit. Just factor in the wait (their online ordering gives a surprising accurate delivery time when you submit).
If you love a massive oily pizza slathered in cheese and sauces you probably already know where to go, but as far as quality, flavoursome food, I highly recommend Gungho.
