Decent rink, friendly people

I came here for figure skating on Monday night and I'll probably come back again because it's so close to me. The rink is interesting - it seems to have been built inside of a badminton stadium. The ice is decent and the people are very friendly. I came in the evening and 1/3 of the ice is dedicated to hockey so it gets a little crowded. There are also a lot of children though they have decent spatial awareness and know to get out of your way.

Best time to come is the afternoon so I'm hoping I can swing some irregular work hours to do it. Afternoon sessions are 13-16:30-ish and they're for figure skating only. Evenings are 17-20 so they're obviously a more popular timeslot. The one woman who speaks English and works at the front desk said to not come on weekends because it's packed. Plus, they allow public skating at that time. It's also cheaper on weekdays (40 RMB vs. 50 for weekends).

If you're a public skater I think weekends are your only time because weekdays sessions are for figure skating and hockey only.
