Description by "Thebeijinger":
Irish pub. Irish owned? No, but they do serve Guinness.

Seriously? You guys are going to list a business like this? Where are you ethics?

I have never been there but I am upset to see "Thebeijinger" list a business with a description like this. Especially after the owner of Patty O'shea's pretended to be a chinese girl named TingTing and wrote a fake negative review, but since he has friends at "Thebeijinger" it got taken down to avoid embarrassment.

But after I read this "description" I am quite upset. What's up what that?

Never been to either place honestly, but I would probably go to The James Joyce before Pattys due to this.

PetePete,

When a new bar or restaurant opens, we post a listing on the site as soon as possible so that people can find it. However, because this usually happens before our writers have visited for a full review, this listing is typically limited to featuring the venue's name, address/phone number, and a very brief sentence describing the essence of the place - it's a stopgap listing. Our editors will later return to flesh the listing out with a full description and photos.

The James Joyce listing is still in raw, stopgap form, but rest assured we'll be updating it very soon.

As has been pointed out in response to RightPryce's comments, users have the ability to take down their own reviews whenever they want. While they can also edit their own comments they would not have been able to remove bsteiger80's comment. Bsteiger80's comment remains there for all to see.

If you're in any doubt as to the Beijinger's enthusiasm for The James Joyce, you can read our review here, as featured in our December issue:
