I've tried hot dogs at a pile of places in the city - some have been better than others. Nathan's Famous served up what was easily one of the worst hot dogs I've ever had a week or so ago. Dry, strange texture, unappealing taste. Looks like they just ran down to the local 小卖部 and grabbed some cheap sausages, threw them in a bun and doused them with (cold) chili. I was at the Raffles location as well - this place blows so hard.

Re: One of the worst dogs in Beijing
@coffeeandtv09: As a representative of Nathan's Famous, I sincerely apologize for your negative experience trying out our hot dog at our restaurant, and I apologize for not reaching out to you sooner. Our hot dogs are 100% beef and the same recipe that Nathan's has been proud to serve since 1916. I'm not sure if something wrong happened in our kitchen or if you are not just used to our hot dog, but I promise we do not serve cheap, local sausages off the street. Of course the chili should never have been cold, which we make sure will not be the case again. I hope you will give us a second chance. Perhaps our hot dogs are not for you, but our burgers are 5 ounces and awesome and we also have some great chicken products and new salad wraps. If you will allow, I would like to apologize in person and treat you to another try at Nathan's Famous. Please contact me directly at kristen.lum@marcusfoods.com and thank you again for your feedback. We truly do take all feedback very seriously and will do our best to improve to best that we can.
