I went to the Gongzhufen/Cuiwei Plaza location.
Pros: The Kung Pao Shrimp was delicious. Wow. It wasn't that spicy, but the shrimp had a great texture, and presentation was classy. Ma Po Tofu was fine, and Dan Dan Mian was tasty, but the noodles were too soggy and overcooked.
Cons: I'm pretty sure you can find better Sichuan for a lower price. More importantly, I pretty sure there is something wrong with their water. I ordered Tang Yuan (glutinous balls floating in hot water), and after half a bite, I couldn't get through it. The Tang Yuan tasted normal, but the water had a sewage aftertaste. Similarly, the hot homemade soy drink I ordered also had a sewage aftertaste. I googled South Beauty, and other branches have had sanitation problems, so...I didn't have any problems afterwards, but there was definitely something off at this branch.
