I have been several times and as a vegetarian I can really only order two things on the menu: vegetariano (my choice of bread) or green salad. (I suppose I could ask them to give me spaghetti with tomato sauce, but really why would I pay expat prices for something I can make in 5 minutes at home.) I'd have to agree with the previous reviewers who have noted the overkill on the bread... the vegetariano and salads are nothing special at all. Granted, there is a lot of green in there, so you do get your money's worth of that, but if you're looking for something that you'll crave enough to come back to this place won't have it. It's just OK. For some people, that's enough to come back to as a regular lunch spot, and that's fine for them.
Oh, and the service is indeed abysmal for reasons previously mentioned. I once couldn't get the attention of servers because they were *all* glued to the TV watching some terrible drama show. This was a late dinner, perhaps 9pm, and I believe we may have been one of only two groups in there. Other times I have to go up to pay because they can't be bothered to bring me anything even after flailing around and saying 'fuwuyuan' several times.
For me, I'd rather take my money up to Bittepita and get a delicious falafel or hummus sandwich and then come back to Panino Teca for dessert and an espresso. Several of their pastries are quite good (here's looking at you, dark chocolate tart!) and the espresso is legit, dark and smooth. Of course, you need to pay up for both, so you'll be look at ~35-40 kuai for those two items, but it does make a nice cap on another meal elsewhere, or a nice afternoon chat or shopping break with a friend.
