Review of Carrefour
2

From the perilous parking lot to the coma-inducing muzak soundtrack, barking butchers and horrendously long check out lines that extend into the aisles, the Shuangjing Carrefour is a grocery shopper's nightmare. If you're looking for "quick and convenient," go elsewhere (i.e. the overpriced fruit and vegatable vendors downstairs).

Given the dearth of mid to large-sized supermarkets in the area, I have the impression they must have some exclusivity agreement with the local authorities - why doesn't someone else move in and set up shop? The area is woefully underserved and shopping at Carrefour is so unbearable, we're reduced to paying double the price for not-so-fresh produce from the various and sundry vendors in our immediate vicinity or trooping all the way across Sanhuan to the Century Mart in the basement of the Viva Shopping Mall.

There is a great place for veggies on Guangqu lu, near Tianzhijiaozi.
Between The Brick and Lilly's.
If your coming from the east it's the second place after Lily's, after the dry cleaners.

Cheap and easy.
